AI agents that collaborate.

An AI agent, in the context of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs), refers to an autonomous system or program that can perform tasks, make decisions, and interact with its environment using AI capabilities. In the case of LLMs, AI agents can process and generate human-like text, understand context, and execute actions based on user inputs or data, often working collaboratively with other agents or systems. They can be designed to automate tasks, provide solutions, or assist in complex decision-making processes.

While Large Language Models (LLMs) are powerful, they have their limits — areas where AI agents truly shine. Here’s how AI agents outpace LLMs in key areas:

1. Lack of Autonomy: LLMs are not autonomous; they generate responses based on input but lack decision-making abilities or actions in the physical world. AI agents, on the other hand, can be designed to take actions based on their understanding.

2. Limited Context Awareness: LLMs process information based on immediate input but struggle with long-term context, memory, or evolving goals over time. AI agents can maintain context and adapt as situations change.
